Between 1 March 2008 - 1 March 2009 Metabras the company based in Brasov, carried-out the project titled "Performances of steel", with the financial support of the European Union granted through Phare Program - Assistance to SMEs for acquisition of business consultancy services. The goal of this project was to enhance the regional competitiveness by undertaking specific market research and marketing studies, developing a new medium-term development strategy and preparation of a feasible project for accessing grants.
The goal of this project was to enhance competitiveness on the domestic market by diversifying the services offered to customers, finding solution to their problems and needs, as well as setting the action lines in the circumstances of the new European market. Other goals pursued were improving the abilities of the managers and specialized persons to apply company’s development strategies, use of high performance IT systems to analyze and monitor the business, as well as acquisition of quality consultancy services by accessing this financing programs.
The direct beneficiaries of the project were the top and middle management, employees, members of the project team, while the indirect beneficiaries were shareholders, customers, suppliers, suppliers of studies and consultancy.
Among the key activities carried-out we list marketing and market research assistance, acquisition of specialized business software, as well as assistance for obtaining financing.
The market research supplied information about the attitudes and opinions of the retail and corporate customers in city of Brasov regarding the products and services offered by Metabras, attitudes, opinions and internal behaviors towards the local mass-media.
The short and medium-term marketing strategy developed for Metabras SRL Brasov is based on the specific prognosis of the European and domestic constructions materials market and includes an analysis of the strategic alternatives and the 3-year marketing plan.
The project developed to obtain financing for human resources development covered establishment of an evaluation, training and professional development center, focused on new techniques and methodologies for enhancing flexibility, competitiveness and adaptability of company’s personnel, in the new European context.
