Authorized lab for mechanical tests
Metabras Group owns an authorized lab for testing of welded mesh and wire, holding a "2nd degree Laboratory" authorization, in line with the reference standard SR EN ISO/CEI 17025.
The lab is equipped with an Universal Press FPZ+100-1, accuracy class I and an Universal Traction and Compression Press (press type: EU 40; maximum force: 400 KN, accuracy class 1).
Diameters of maximum Ø 25 mm can be tested for PC 52 and of maximum Ø 32 mm for OB 37, as well as round steel grade OL 37 and OL 52.
It also allows testing of steel products for concrete reinforcement: plain debars or deformed steel bars of grade OB 37 and PC 52; cold rolled ribbed wire with diameter between 4 - 7 mm; welded mesh with wire diameter between 4 - 7.1 mm for mesh of smooth wire; welded mesh with wire diameter between 4 and 12 mm for mesh of ribbed wire; smooth dead-drawn wire; mild wire.
